Download Flite here. Double click the .pkg file (Mac) or .exe (Win). you will need to ensure your are running a DAW, and launch Flite within that. You can use Flite Play for free. If you wish to purchase Create, you can do so from within your account or by clicking any of the Buy Now buttons. Once purchased, sign in with your Wavea user account credentials to remove the trial limitations.

Flite Create is a paid $59.99 purchase giving enhanced access to all instrument controls and full preset saving, patch creation and DAW automation. Flite's Play mode is fully free and includes a host of beautiful sounds. Play and Create exist within the same plugin / installer and so you can upgrade to Create as a free Play user.

The free (Play) version of Flite allows you to play all the beautifully created presets with the bundled sample library, but restricts deeper tweaking of sounds in Create mode. Create runs as a 20 min trial with restrictions on saving presets and importing samples which are removed if you upgrade.

With Flite Create you can make fully original sounds and not be restricted to solely playing presets. You can import your own samples, use filters, tweak full FX parameters, set the modulation / note sequencers and much more. Flite Create costs $59.99.

If Flite fails to appear in Ableton upon install, please check the following steps, recommended by Ableton. Please check you have Flite correctly installed and that you are running a 64-bit version of Ableton, since Flite will only open in 64-bit DAWs.

Expansions run on both Flite Play or Create so there is no need for additional purchase.

PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE RUNNING THE VERY LATEST VERSION OF FLITE before installing expansions.

Ensure internet access and via the settings popup (accessed by clicking the cog icon next to the preset display) log in with the email with which you purchased. Expansion will appear as a thumbnail in the left hand side of the preset browser window. When you click it the download will commence. Please ensure you are logged in and if the download does not start, click the Sync icon. Once download is finished, the expansion sample content and patches will be automatically installed and you can play through the patches. 

In Flite v2.1 or later, open the Sampler or Granular settings and choose Generate, then select ElevenLabs or Stable Audio.

1. Create or sign in to your provider account and create an API key: ElevenLabs API keys or Stability AI API keys. Check that your plan supports the API and has enough credits; website subscriptions and API credits may be separate.
2. Click Connect in Flite and paste your key. Remembering the key is optional and uses your operating system's secure credential storage. Never send your key to another user.
3. Describe a sound, choose its duration and the available mapping/loop options, then click Generate. Each request uses your provider account and may consume credits, including a request you cancel.
4. Once generation finishes, audition the sound and use Save to keep it. In the Sampler you can also use Auto Slice on a suitable loop and map its slices across the keys.

If generation fails, check the key's permissions, API credits, internet connection and provider availability. A Flite licence does not include provider credits. Before releasing a track or sharing a sample, read the ownership FAQ below and our AI generation terms and data information.

Wavea does not claim ownership of samples you generate. However, your permission to use them depends on the provider, your plan and applicable law.

• ElevenLabs: free-plan output is not licensed for commercial use. A qualifying paid plan permits commercial use subject to its terms; attribution rules may apply. See ElevenLabs' publishing guidance and Sound Effects terms.
• Stable Audio API: Stability AI's applicable terms assign its rights, if any, in generated outputs to you, subject to compliance and applicable law. Check the terms effective for your account and generation date.

Permission for commercial use is not a guarantee that an AI-generated sample has copyright protection, is exclusive, or is free of third-party rights. Check the rules separately before selling standalone samples or sample packs, sublicensing, or training AI. Do not assume a later subscription upgrade retrospectively licenses earlier sounds.
