How do I install Flite on my computer?

Download Flite here. Double click the .pkg file (Mac) or .exe (Win). you will need to ensure your are running a DAW, and launch Flite within that. You can use Flite Play for free. If you wish to purchase Create, you can do so from within your account or by clicking any of the Buy Now buttons. Once purchased, sign in with your Wavea user account credentials to remove the trial limitations.

What are Flite’s Play and Create modes?

Flite's Play mode is fully free and includes a host of beautiful sounds. Flite Create is a paid $99 purchase giving enhanced access to all instrument controls and full preset saving, patch creation and DAW automation. Play and Create exist within the same plugin / installer and so you can upgrade to Create as a free Play user.

What restrictions are there on Flite Play?

The free (Play) version of Flite allows you to play all the beautifully created presets with the bundled sample library, but restricts deeper tweaking of sounds in Create mode. Create runs as a 20 min trial with restrictions on saving presets and importing samples which are removed if you upgrade.

What does Flite’s paid Create mode give me?

With Flite Create you can make fully original sounds and not be restricted to solely playing presets. You can import your own samples, use filters, tweak full FX parameters, set the modulation / note sequencers and much more. Flite Create costs $99.

Why doesn’t Flite appear in Ableton?

If Flite fails to appear in Ableton upon install, please check the following steps, recommended by Ableton. Please check you have Flite correctly installed and that you are running a 64-bit version of Ableton, since Flite will only open in 64-bit DAWs.
